Looks like Santa treated his helpers to a little vacation time in Florida this year. Naturally, they chose Brooksville, FL, home of Roger’s Christmas House. This photo was taken across the street at the Hawkins House, where my mother has a small gift shop (called The Paper Porch) with an awesome selection of Vera Bradley handbags, jewelry, collectibles, and more.

Oh man, this is so cool - Send a letter from Santa to your child.
We’ve got an 8-year old that is pretty sure about Santa, but still wants to hold onto the fantasy, and a 5-year old that still believes in the magic. A personal letter, postmarked from the North Pole, Alaska, would be a great way to keep Santa around for a little longer.
Now, if I can only figure out a way to keep them young forever…

Christmas Ideas: Perfume

I’m starting to scan for Christmas ideas. With a wife and two daughters, a guy can’t start planning too early. My wife isn’t big on perfume, but I have an 8-yr old that is becoming fashion-conscious and might appreciate a "big-girl" gift this year. I know that my 5-yr old would love some perfume, but I’m not stupid - she’ll use the whole bottle and douse herself in the stuff on Christmas Day!
