An open letter to IP 71.14.122.243, visiting this site at 6:18 p.m.

Why do I let the troglodytes get me down?

Most times, if some idiot leaves a stupid comment, I just come right back at them and move on, or I’ll delete it because I have no respect for anonymous commenters, and therefore feel no compunction about sending their words off into nothingness.

Every once in a while, though, someone manages to push a button.

Today’s button was someone that used the “N” word in their name, and left a hate-filled comment that also used the “S” word – the word that rhymes with “Pick”. They came here as a result of a search on Google for “why the south is better”.

That one got my first-ever report to their internet provider for abuse.

Yes, ding-dongs, we can do that. We can track you down. You leave your IP address everywhere you go. For instance, I know you live in Greenville, SC. I sincerely hope the person at Charter Communications that is tasked with investigating the report is African-American and/or Hispanic. You know, someone that will be extra motivated to track where else you’ve been on the internet.

If there is a God in heaven, you’ve also been visiting those websites that will get your red neck thrown in prison.

**Feel free to leave suggestions below if there are additional steps I need to take to handle this putz.
