It really is ubsurd. As a doctor in a small practice in mid west ohio I have first hand knowledge of families that can not afford any health care what so ever. The physicians I work with do the most they can in terms of pro bono but ultimately we still need to pay our health care…its a terrible system and I hope that the next president will help!

I’m right there with you. I got my open enrollment packet in the mall this last week. I’m afraid to open it, frankly. I know things are going up. I can barely afford to go to the doctor because the copays kick my butt, but I can’t afford not to have insurance either.

I totally agree. They should take that money and turn it back into the company, lower the premiums for their members. Don’t their members deserve a little break?

I’m with ya. Makes me grit my teeth. Not saying those organizations aren’t deserving, but insurance premiums are skyrocketing and employers are passing the expense to us. And we already give to charities on our own. BCBS isn’t there to redistribute unused premiums to charity, it’s there to administer health care costs efficiently. If there’s extra money, put it in reserve and don’t raise premiums that I can’t already afford. That’s all I’m saying. Then I can give more to the charities of MY choice.

My premiums keep going up, and I can’t afford it. I know what you mean, I don’t want to be mean, but c’mon!
