I usually get loads and i dont mind the idea of getting nothing but i go to a private school so when all your friends get ipods phones and laptops i have all these but to know i might not be getting much is depressing because all my friends are coming over and will want to know what i got . i hate my birthday too. its coming up on the 25th of april, i find the whole thing just embarrassing. i hate it when my mum or others buy gifts. when you get nothing one year because of the money and finance issues. BUT they send emails...and today my inbox has been flooded with emails about stupid f*king sports, about which i do not give a f*k, and not even ONE birthday wish has been directed to me. Some people call this selfish, but I fail to see how...is it selfish to expect friends to send you an exclusive (but free) email, ONCE A YEAR? You're right, I thought I would forgive them...but I can't. I really can't. I forgiven them many-a-time for stuff, but I've also given them GREAT gifts. But no more of that...I'm not giving them any more presents that are thoughtful and warm, 'cos I'm not wasting my money on people who couldn't give a shit. That's right. Sorry for sounding so bitter, but it comes with the forgetfulness (or indifference) that your friends display.
